You’ve probably heard me say it before, but I’m so drawn to different types of collections and antiques that remind me of my mom. When I hear things she talks about and she says she loves, I think I have a bias and love it too. So you want to know how to style milk glass?
First, I love it because it’s white and you can literally use it all year. I’m all about getting the most mileage about of my decor, while still changing it up.
Second, milk glass is great that it’s neutral and lets your accessories shine and stand out with it. I like to put my milk glass with wood tons and metals. It’s so easy to change out faux florals using them as vases. Here are a few ways I've used milk glass to decorate.
Keep it simple with some color flower stems. Choose flowers from your garden freshly picked, use dried flowers, or you can't go wrong using faux flower stems to switch all year.
Build up a collection! Display your milk glass with darker tones when using more than one piece! I put some milk glass in a wooden box for a beautiful contrast. I love building collections and hunting down different varieties to add. It's fun and its always exciting to add to your different collections.
Just starting your collection? Using one piece of milk glass is great to start off or keep your decorating simple. I love this larger milk glass piece--coming to the shop's 8/27 restock. I added some of my own greens to the top and honestly, there are so many different ways to style pieces like these. I added metal elements to use other kinds of texture with the white glass.
I want to give one of my blog readers store credit to the upcoming restock. Leave me a comment on this blog post telling me what decor you collect and I'll choose one person to give a store credit towards their next purchase! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!
I love collecting the Amber bottles you sell – so much fun!
I love collecting antique cow bells, antique books, scales and my new obsession antique blue bottles!
I have recently started collecting vintage items, I love ironstone, crocks, milk glass, vintage books and pretty much anything green and vintage!
I collect vintage keys and milk bottles. I have a couple of milk bottles from my Grandmother and like to display them on a self in our kitchen!
I’ve always had a sort of rustic/farmhouse style And way of decorating my house but recently I really got into collecting antique items, especially amber and blue bottles! They are so versatile and love all styles and sizes. I LOVE all antiques and little old Knick knacks. Anything that has some history and wear and tear is what I love!
I’ve been collecting Precious Moments my entire life but I don’t display them. I also seem to collect faux florals and plants because I can never keep real ones alive.
